“Space Chase” – Teaser #2

Hey everyone, it’s been a long time! A very, very long time. I apologize to anyone who may have actually been checking back for updates on my work. If you don’t follow me on social media, I’ve been way more active there lately. Be sure to use the links at the top of the site to follow me everywhere else so you don’t miss a thing. Also, I’ll do my best to start updating this site regularly again. I plan to post a lot of the art that I’ve been making in school while I’ve been away, so keep an eye out for that. In other news…

Space Chase is coming this summer! Remember that cartoon that I started years ago? Probably not. Well to anyone who’s curious about what happened with it, here’s the story…

It’s a cartoon that I started all the way back in 2012. After working on it for a short period, I went through a bit of a “creative block” for quite a while and hardly worked on anything. I would still draw or work on it here and there, but it wasn’t as much as I used to. Two years ago, I started going to school to study graphic design and that’s where a lot of my creative juices came back from. It was very refreshing to be surrounded by other artists and make a ton of new friends who also inspired me. I finished my A.S. degree and at the end of our two years, my graduating class had our own graduation exhibit. It was a chance to show off all of the work we made during our time at the school. Some of the later courses that we had taken were time based media courses, where we learned about movies and made our own short films. We were all pretty happy with our work and talked to our professors about setting up a screening to show off our films at the exhibit. It was about a month before the show and I wanted to finish Space Chase to show at the screening. My professors didn’t have a problem with it, because even though it was an old project, there was still a lot to be done and we were required to produce new work for the exhibit. So with all of that in place, a deadline was set and I started working hard to finish it. After a lot of late nights and hard work, I’m proud to say that I finally finished the cartoon that I started five years ago. The screening was a success and people seemed to enjoy it. It was really cool to get the opportunity to show it in front of a small audience and finally see it complete. I would love to get the chance to show more of my work in screenings in the future.

Anywho, that brings us to where we are now. The animation is complete, but the reason it’s not out yet is because of some polishing and an extra scene that I’ll be adding for YouTube. The composer of Space Chase, Waterflame, will be remastering the soundtrack and making it sound even better. While he’s working on that, I’ll be tweaking the animation and adding a very short after-credits scene. Once all of that is ready, it’ll be out on my YouTube channel!

I don’t have a specific release date yet, but as it gets closer to the release, I’ll be sure to share that info through social media. But it should definitely be out sometime in July, if not by the end of the month. With all of that said, I hope you guys are excited. I can’t wait to finally release it online, and because of the short wait, I decided to put together a final teaser for it. If you haven’t already, you can check it out at the top of this post. Let me know what you guys think and be sure to subscribe to my channel so you’ll be the first to see Space Chase when it’s out.

Until next time, stay tuned and I’ll catch you guys later!
